Meet the Moderators

Rebecca White
Hello my name is Rebecca White.
On Support for Moms front page I explained a lot about the reasons of why I started this site.
I thought I would tell you just a little more about me here too.
Well I will be 32 years old in a couple weeks (May 18), I have 3 boys ages 11, 9 and 3 you have already met Alex under the ADD/ADHD links.
My son Kyle is 9 years old and is our regional soccer player.
You can see Adam my youngest to your left. He is now 3 years old and going through the I love to be independant stage. :)
My husband and I got married right out of high school and we have been married for 14 years this August, and together for 16 years this September.
When we first got married Brent joined the army so I was an army wife for over 7 years, until he became ill.
I live in Ohio near Toledo the place that you may hear about Tony Packo's and the Mud Hens if you ever watched M*A*S*H and listened to Klinger (Jamie Farr) talk about Toledo.
I also have a couple other businesses along with Support for Moms.
My other sites are ADvantage Marketing 4 U and Experts 4 Wahms I help small business owners and home based business owners with their internet marketing and promotional needs.
But I will say this now, Support for Moms has always been a dream of mine.
Thanks to everyone!
Brent I love you without the support from you and the boys I would never have been able to have the courage to follow my dreams. Even when other dreams failed you were always there cheering me on telling me that I could do it if I just put my mind to it.

Lisa Miller
Hi my name is Lisa Miller. I am 28 years old and live in Connecticut. I was fortunate enough to have met Rebecca about a year ago and have formed a wonderful friendship with her. She is truly an amazing businesswoman, mom and inspiration. I am happy to be helping here at Support For Moms by moderating a forum or two ;)
I have an 2-1/2 old daughter, Mikayla, and she is the light of my life. After wrestling with infertility for about 4 years she is a true miracle from God. I have a condition called PolyCystic Ovarian Disease and was told I had a slim to no chance of ever getting pregnant. My husband and I tried many ways of trying to conceive but we never had enough money to do IVF or any high cost treatments so we decided that adoption might be the answer. Then I ended up in the hospital with some serious medical problems and as soon as I healed I got pregnant!! It truly was the most exciting surprise of our life! My pregnancy was very complicated but we now have a beautiful and very intelligent little girl. We plan to adopt in the future :)
Paul and I have been together for 11 years and married 7 years. He is a wonderful father and my best friend. We live in Connecticut. I am originally from Mt. Pleasant, PA, which is a very small town southest of Pittsburgh.
I am the owner/designer of www.TheScrapPrincess.com - we offer digital scrapbooking elements, graphic design, freebies, tutorials and just about everything related to graphic design for the creative mind.
I am also a rep for Cello In A Box© Company which offers cellophane bags, sets and supplies to make awesome gift baskets and gifts.
I love just about any creative outlet and tend to be working on a lot of projects at once. I used to run a cermaic tile showroom before I had my daughter and I have hundreds if not thousands of tiles laying around my house as well. (Well ok they're just in my basement - but I could tile a small shopping mall with the scraps I have accumulated over the years lol).
I'm very honored to be a mod here - can't wait to get to know some other busy Moms :) If you ever need anything, please just send a message my way.....

Marge Tarrant
My full name is Margaret, I prefer to be called Marge.I am 46 years old and I am married to Tom and have been married for almost 20 years. I have a 24 year old daughter, from a previous marriage, a 16 year old son and a 13 year old son. You may have seen me around the web under the name "knitqueen2003". I have been knitting for 37 years, starting when I was 9. My Grandmother was the fantastic lady that taught me how to form the actual knit and purl stitches, I wound up with a passion for it, and now here I am,owning my own business, Fun and Cozy Knits.com
The things most important in my life are, My husband, who sometimes supports me in my endeavors, but he does keep me grounded. My children, who constantly make me roar with laughter, My friends, like Rebecca and Michaele, who are wonderful women, and my business.
I live in North Attleboro, Ma. Located 7 miles from the Rhode Island border and 7 miles from World Super Bowl Champions, Patriots Stadium. The community is a typical New England town, where we have opening day ceremonies for little league, and other family orientated activities. In August the firefighters have a fundraiser for local charities. It is called "Kids Day" and it is the most looked forward time of the year. It starts on Thurs. evening and goes until Sunday of that weekend. The monies raised goes to our local united way, food pantries, and disaster relief funds. I also have to say this community is quite proud of our children. In the middle school, they have a fundraiser called "Hoops for Hearts" it is an annual event for the American Heart Association.North Attleboro is the leader in raising funds for this worthy cause, and this year the kids raised over 83,000 dollars. The physical education teachers told the
students this year if they managed to raise over 80,000 dollars, then the phys. ed staff would shave their heads. The principle of the school said she would dye her hair neon pink. I am proud to say we now have bald headed phys. ed. teachers and a neon pink haired principle.
Well now that I have bored you with information about me, Rebecca has asked me to moderate the knitting board here at support for moms, So come on over and join me and I will do my best to help you with your knitting. No question will be ignored, and I will try answer it to the best of my ability.

Tammy Dobbs
Hi, my name is Tammy, and I have been a Watkins consultant since '02. I will be helping Rebecca moderate a few of the boards here at Support For Moms so I thought I'd introduce myself.
I am 36 years old, and the mother of one (really? There's only one??), a 3-year-old girl named Amy Jane. I love animals of all kinds, and if I had my way, I'd be living on a farm, but fate had other plans for me, I guess. I bred dogs in the past, but now have only one as a pet, a female Boxer who is 9 1/2, and has had cancer for over 7 years. I also have a collection of goldfish (fancy and comets), and I breed Guinea Pigs, just for the fun of it! I am fascinated by genetics and just wish
I could get into bigger and better things.
I have lived with verbal abuse for many years, and am still here. One of my pet peeves is the person who hears that and automatically says "Then why don't you just leave." If you've never been in this situation, it is hard to imagine what it is like. I started a group on verbal abuse once, online, and everytime someone posted any question or comment, someone else would answer with "Then just get out... Leave him..." That annoys me. I have learned to deal with it, and it is my decision to stay. It's my opinion that the person asking the question already knows she (or he) should leave, but it has to be her/his decision, and it is NEVER easy. As a moderator, I feel it is my job not to tell you what to do, but to guide you by trying to explain what I can. I am no expert by any means, but I've learned a few things over the years and I hope I will be able to help someone else.
I will also be moderating the recipe section. Cooking is another passion of mine, especially those recipe's with the words "Quick and Easy" in the title! I love to cook/bake, but not to spend hours in the kitchen, so I hope to enlighten you with a few tips and tricks, and recipes of course, that I have learned. As a Watkins Consultant, many of my recipe's will be "Watkinized", but I'm sure you can figure out the substitutes (if not, just ask!).
I look forward to meeting everyone here at Support for Moms, and thank you for having me.
